Aims and Objectives
2010 - 2011

  1. To advance standards and knowledge in relation to Country Western dance in Ireland.
  2. To encourage all Instructors, Clubs and Associations within Ireland to co-operate
    with each as an Association for the continued growth and spread of Country Western Dance Clubs.
  3. To co-ordinate a pre-determined number of dances annually as recommended dances,
    in order to promote uniformity of instruction in the basic steps of said dances.
  4. To formally recognize established Competitions and Championships in order
    to avoid duplication of such events.
  5. To promote and improve the quality of Country Western dance instruction
    by co-ordinating workshops and training seminars within Ireland.
  6. To encourage all instructors to practice a code of professional conduct in their relationship
    with other instructors and to behave at all times in a manner not detrimental to other instructors
    or to the spirit of Country Western Dance.
